The Château

The chateau was built in the 17th century in the style of an Italian palace. Remodelled in the 18th century in French style, two small wings were also added on the east and west sides to give it its current appearance. It became the hunting lodge of the prince of Conti in the 18th century who built the numphaeum to the north, one of the rare examples still in existence today.
